How training works
Training and workshops are adapted to the needs of the group, organisation and setting.
A typical two-hour session focuses on selected areas rather than covering every possible topic in depth. Sessions usually include teaching, reflection, questions and discussion throughout.
Half-day and full-day training allow more time for interaction, examples, practical activities and deeper exploration of specific topics.
Lectures, assemblies and creative sensory workshops
I offer neurodiversity-affirming lectures, assemblies and creative workshops for schools, colleges, universities, youth settings, young people and families.
These sessions support people to understand, accept and celebrate different ways of thinking, learning, sensing, communicating and concentrating. They can be delivered as a short assembly, classroom workshop, university session, family workshop, half-day neurodiversity event, or smaller group session for Autistic, ADHD, AuDHD, questioning or suspected neurodivergent young people.
Workshops combine accessible discussion with creative, sensory and practical activities. Participants can learn about neurodiversity, stimming, sensory regulation, concentration, communication differences, strengths, challenges and respectful language.
Creative activities can include making personalised stim tools, sensory bottles, squishy balls, slime, fidget objects or mini stim kits. These activities give participants a practical way to explore what helps them feel calm, focused, regulated or more able to take part.
Activities are always choice-based and sensory-aware. Some people love slime and strong sensory textures, while others find them uncomfortable or overwhelming. Alternative options are offered so that no one has to touch or use a material that feels wrong for them.
The focus is on helping participants understand what supports their own regulation, communication and participation, while celebrating different ways of thinking, sensing, learning and being.
Sessions can be adapted for:
The aim is to create a warm, practical and affirming space where people can learn that different does not mean wrong, and that everyone deserves ways to participate, communicate and regulate that work for them.

Workshops can be adapted for schools, charities, youth groups, community organisations and family support settings.
Training and workshop fees depend on the length, format, group size and level of tailoring required.
